Lexus reveals GXOR luxury overlanding concept

The SUV has received a long list of off-road upgrades and a matching rugged camper trailer.

Lexus has revealed the GX Off Road Concept, transforming the SUV into a rugged vehicle for overland adventures.

The blacked-out SUV has been outfitted with full underbody armor, Icon suspension with remote reservoirs and billet control arms, knobby tires, a snorkel, and a custom front bumper with a hidden winch.

The concept can haul plenty of gear thanks to a large roof-mounted platform with aluminum storage cases, while a Patriot Campers X1H trailer boasts high ground clearance and a matching wheel/tire combination.

Inside, the GX has received a custom drawer system and a 12-volt National Luna refrigerator.

"The Lexus GXOR Concept is fueled by the passionate Lexus GX owners that have discovered and embraced the SUV's perfect combination of ultimate luxury and unrivaled off-road capability," the company says.

There are no production plans for the GXOR, though most of the upgrades are available as aftermarket accessories.
