Mazda MX-5 Miata gets higher starting price for 2019 upgradeby Justin King
A more powerful engine is complemented by a tilt/telescoping steering column and new package options.
Following the arrival of the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, the upgraded soft-top edition has now landed in showrooms.
Both share a revised 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine with 26 additional horsepower and a few extra pound-feet of torque. A tilt/telescoping steering column is now standard, along with a rearview camera.
The 2019 MX-5 now starts at $26,625 (including $895 freight), bumping the price up by a few hundred dollars over the 2018 edition.
Buyers can now choose a brown soft-top for the Grand Touring trim. Automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are also available.
The 2019 MX-5 is currently available nationwide.
