McLaren shows retro racing-theme 570S collection
The color schemes are said to honor various McLaren victories from the 1960s through 1990s.
McLaren has highlighted another custom-ordered collection, building six cars that adhere to the theme "Racing Through the Ages."
As the name implies, the three matched pairs of 570S Coupes and 570S Spiders celebrate McLaren's racing heritage from decades past. Muriwai aims to evoke Bruce McLaren's early racing adventures in New Zealand, while Papaya Spark honors victories from the '60s and '70s. Sarthe Grey moves forward to the company's Le Mans victory in 1995.
All six cars are fitted with an MSO-designed rear wing and feature a GT4 racing stripe on the exterior hood and roof. Other upgrades include 10-spoke super-lightweight wheels in gloss black, titanium exhaust and placards on the interior.
The collection was commissioned by McLaren Beverly Hills, soon to be the leading global retailer for unique McLaren Special Operations orders.
