Canadian police impound McLaren 600LT minutes after purchase
The buyer was allegedly caught going 100 mph after leaving the dealership.
Police in Vancouver, British Columbia, have impounded a McLaren 600LT minutes after the owner purchased the car.
The apparently overeager buyer was allegedly clocked going 100 mph in a 56 mph (90 kmh) zone on a local highway.
"While the officer was conducting the investigation, the driver allegedly stated that they had just left the dealership after purchasing the vehicle, 10 minutes prior," police said in a statement, as quoted by CTV News.
The 39-year-old driver received a seemingly modest $368 CAD (~$281 USD) ticket, though he was forced to live without his $240,000 Longtail for a full week while it sat impounded.
