McLaren 600LT Spider arrives in US with $256,500 price tag

The fifth Longtail is a bit more affordable than the 675LT.

McLaren has brought its latest convertible, the Sports Series 600LT Spider, to American showrooms.

The 600LT Coupe has already sold out, but customers can still purchase the Spider variant which starts at $256,500 in the US market.

"The 600LT Spider carries the Longtail story on to its fifth chapter, and in time will become just as legendary as the 675LT," says McLaren marketing and sales director Jolyon Nash. "And as the first Sports Series Spider to carry the coveted badge, it is set to be one of the most sought-after McLaren cars in years to come."

The 600LT Spider features increased power, reduced weight, optimized aerodynamics and limited availability. Its performance is close to the coupe, thanks to a lightweight three-piece hardtop that can be deployed or stowed at speeds up to 25 mph.

With 592 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque, the latest Longtail launches from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.

The 600LT Spider represents a savings of around $150,000 compared to the 675LT.
