Mercedes-AMG announces pricing for C63, C63 S
Merc\'s hot-rod C-Class will hit dealer showrooms next month.
Mercedes' fire-breathing Mercedes-AMG C63 will carry an MSRP of about $64,000 when it rolls into dealer showrooms next month, the German automaker announced on Monday. The more potent C63 S will list from about $72,000.
Set to hit dealer showrooms in April, the 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 will arrive with a starting MSRP of $63,900. For that price of entry buyers will get a standard Burmeister Surround Sound system, an adaptive suspension, LED headlights, Collision Prevention Assist Plus and Sirius Satellite Radio. Of course the heart of the C63 is Mercedes' latest twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 making 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.
For those wanting even more grunt, the C63 S will be on offer for $71,900. In addition to its extra power (503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque from the same 4.0L V8), C63 S buyers will also be treated to a nappa leather interior, dynamic engine mounts, 19-inch staggered wheels and red brake calipers. C63 S models can be further enhanced with a carbon ceramic braking system.
Both the C63 and C63 S will also be subject to a mandatory $925 destination charge.
