Mercedes-Benz working smaller EQ B electric crossover?
The EQ B is said to be an all-electric adaptation of the GLB body.
Mercedes-Benz is reportedly working on a smaller electric crossover to slot below the EQ C.
Presumed to be sold as the EQ B, the new EV is said to be an all-electric equivalent to the upcoming GLB (pictured), according to an Autocar report.
The electric crossover is expected to feature a bit more aerodynamic optimization than its gasoline-fueled counterpart, helping deliver a range of up to 310 miles according to European test cycles.
Despite its relatively compact size, the GLB will likely get a third seating row and a spacious interior thanks to its front-wheel-drive platform architecture and relatively boxy shape.
The EQ B is said to be outfitted with dual electric motors, powering both the front and rear axles. Additional information, including an expected launch window, have not yet surfaced.
