MINI teases Cooper SE, confirms July debut [Video]

The company views EVs as the heart of its future.

MINI has posted another teaser video for its upcoming all-electric Cooper SE.

The latest video shows the EV cruising around urban streets. The accompanying caption says "it's the heart of our future," highlighting the SE's importance as the brand attempts to reinvigorate sales.

The first model in BMW Group's EV onslaught, the Cooper SE is expected to provide more than 200 miles of range on a single charge. Power will likely be close to the Cooper S' 189 horsepower, but with more torque than the turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The Cooper SE will be officially unveiled on July 9.
