MINI prices 2014 Cooper, Cooper S hardtops

The new MINIs will arrive this spring with a slight price increase.

MINI has announced pricing for its all-new 2014 Cooper and Cooper S hardtop models. MINI pulled the sheet on its newest models at last year's Los Angeles auto show.

For 2014 the base Cooper hardtop will carry a base price of $19,950, reflecting a slight $250 increase over the outgoing model. Stepping up to the 2014 Cooper S will require $23,600, or $300 more than last year's version. Neither price includes a mandatory $795 Destination and Handling charge.

"The product team worked diligently to sustain a minimal price increase over the previous model while adding a number of new technologies and features”, said Patrick McKenna, Head of MINI Product Planning and Events. "People will be amazed at the interior quality of this car combined with legendary MINI go kart handling and all-new BMW Group engines. The new MINI is a lot like nothing else.”

For 2014 the base model Cooper uses a new 1.5” three-cylinder engine good for 134 horsepower and 162 lb-ft. of torque. The Cooper S uses a four-cylinder rated at 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft. of torque.

The 2014 MINI Cooper and Cooper S will arrive in dealer showrooms this spring.
