Mini recalls 2015 Cooper Hardtop to fix seat adjuster
The seat back can fold unexpectedly in an accident, increasing the risk of injury.
Mini has already issued a recall for its 2015 Cooper Hardtop, citing a problem with the seats.
The company has discovered a problem with both front seatback adjusters, which can allow the seats to fold if the vehicle is involved in a rear-end collision.
The issue is being handled as a safety recall, as unexpected folding can increase the risk of injury to front occupants.
Technicians will re-align and re-tighten the seat adjustment mechanisms to fix the issue, which affects 846 units manufactured from August 12, 2014, through September 2.
