NY: 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 sedan
The company will offer the Mirage as a hatchback and sedan in the US market.
Mitsubishi has revealed the 2017 Mirage G4 sedan this week at the New York auto show, following the updated Mirage hatchback's introduction last year in Los Angeles.
The refreshed sedan closely follows the five-door's styling, with a bigger chrome-accented grille and a more sculpted hood. The G4's front fascia brings a few unique elements, separating the fog lights from the lower grille.
Both Mirage body styles share the same revised 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, providing a modest 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. The small-displacement mill will be paired with a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
With a clear focus on younger buyers looking for an affordable vehicle, the 2017 Mirage hopes to rise above the crowd with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
The G4 will arrive in showrooms this spring. Pricing will likely be announced closer to the launch date, though it shouldn't be far from the hatchback's $12,995 MSRP.
