Nissan to introduce all-new Versa next month

Nissan will debut the 2020 Versa at the Tortuga Music Festival.

Nissan has announced plans to introduce an all-new version of its Versa small next month. The new Versa will be billed as a 2020 model.

Nissan's press release was short on details, with the automaker only confirming that the 2020 Versa would make its first public appearance at the Tortuga Music Festival on April 12. Given that introduction date, it's a safe bet that the new Versa will arrive in Nissan showrooms before the end of the year.

Nissan currently markets two version of the Versa in the United States -- the Versa sedan and the Versa Note hatchback. It remains unknown if Nissan will replace both models at the April event, but you can bank on seeing at least a new version of the sedan.

Although we might only see one new Versa at the Tortuga Music Festival, both models are due for replacement. The current version of the Versa sedan debuted way back in 2011, and the Versa Note is only a year newer than that.
