Nissan GT-R gets 'Pure' trim with sub-$100,000 price tagby Justin King
The 2018 model year brings a $10,000 discount from the refreshed 2017 edition.
Nissan has followed up the 2017 GT-R refresh with a new entry-level 'Pure' trim for the 2018 model year.
The base model now carries a $99,990 price tag (excluding $1,695 freight), representing a savings of more than $10,000 compared to the 'Premium' edition that served as the entry point last year.
The downgrade omits the Premium's titanium exhaust and 11-speaker Bose audio system, active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement systems.
The Track Edition carries over to 2018 with a balance between the GT-R Nismo's track enhancements and the standard powertrain, which delivers 565 horsepower. The Nismo is the flagship with 600 ponies and a $175,490 price tag.
The 2018 lineup is already available at select Nissan showrooms across the country.
