Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign still available for sale
Demand has been "strong" despite a seven-figure price tag.
Nissan has announced that there are still a few reservation slots available for the GT-R50 by Italdesign.
The GT-R50 was created to celebrate 50 years of the GT-R and Italdesign's 50th anniversary, giving the iconic performance coupe an entirely new look as it stretches into its 12th year of production. The distinctive bodywork features a more distinctive styling, while the overall footprint is slightly narrower and shorter with a lower height compared to the standard production GT-R Nismo.
Inside, the interior boasts carbon-fiber upgrades and Alcantara upholstery. A digital instrument cluster replaces the standard analog unit and the infotainment screen has been deleted.
Under the hood, the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 has been retuned to deliver 720 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Nissan says demand for the GT-R50 has been "strong" despite its $1.1 million price tag. A "limited number" of reservations are still available for the production run, capped at 50 units with deliveries expected to begin late next year.
