Nissan Sentra gets modest price increase for 2020 redesign
The new model has received a complete exterior overhaul and modernized interior.
Nissan has announced pricing for the 2020 Sentra, extensively redesigned for the 2020 model year.
The sedan now starts at $20,015 (including $925 freight) for the S trim, marking an increase of around $1,200 over the 2019 model year. The SV package fetches $21,195, while the range-topping Sentra SR can be purchased for $22,355.
The 2020 Sentra introduces a more stylish exterior with lower, wider proportions, carrying forward a broader trend in the sedan segment. The interior has also been reworked, aiming to achieve a more premium look and feel.
A new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, up 20 percent and 17 percent, respectively. Other mechanical upgrades include independent rear suspension, twin-tube front shocks and a dual-pinion rack electric power steering system.
Nissan's Safety Shield 360 suite comes standard with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking.
US buyers will be able to find the 2020 Sentra in showrooms beginning January 28.
