2020 Nissan Titan XD gains fresh styling, new tech
The Cummins diesel engine has been dropped from the lineup.
Nissan has revealed the 2020 Titan XD, carrying forward many of the upgrades introduced with the redesigned standard-duty Titan.
The heavy-duty pickup is powered by a retuned 5.6-liter Endurance V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, a modest increase of 10 horses and 19 pound-feet compared to the outgoing XD. A new nine-speed automatic transmission supplants the previous seven-speed unit.
Styling also follows in line with the standard-duty Titan redesign, introducing a "Powerful Warrior" theme that centers around a new grille and higher differentiation between various trim levels.
Inside, the cabin has been modernized with a 9.0-inch touchscreen for certain configurations. A 7.0-inch driver information display comes standard, along with Nissan's Zero Gravity seats and Safety Shield 360 assistance and safety tech.
The 2020 Titan XD will be available in Crew Cab body configurations with four-wheel drive and five different trim levels. The truck will begin arriving in showrooms early next year.
