Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid sets 'record' time on partially paved race track
The Swedish Gotland Ring is under construction, split between asphalt and gravel surfaces.
Porsche has taken its new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid to the partially unfinished Swedish Gotland Ring to set an 'unusual' lap record.
Currently under construction, the racing circuit's two-mile northern section is already paved while the 2.6-mile southern portion is still unasphalted gravel.
Piloted by German racing driver and TV host Tim Schrick for a film shoot, the new plug-in hybrid Cayenne completed its best lap in just 3:51 minutes.
Available in standard and coupe form, the Turbo S E-Hybrid is now the most powerful Cayenne with 680 PS (671 horsepower) and 664 pound-feet of torque.
