Porsche ready to reveal Cayenne Coupe

The new variant will arrive in showrooms this fall.

Porsche is apparently ready to reveal the Cayenne Coupe in the coming weeks.

Speaking to Autocar, the company's UK head, Marcus Eckermann, noted that the Coupe is "a very important car for us" and will likely account for a significant portion of overall Cayenne sales in the country.

The sleek crossover has already been spotted by spy photographers during prototype testing in Germany, highlighting the revised roofline with a steeply raked rear section.

Buyers are expected to be offered a choice between a base turbocharged V6 with around 440 horsepower or a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 with approximately 540 horsepower, while a hybrid could get as much as 680 horsepower.

More details could surface ahead of the Cayenne Coupe's official debut.
