Porsche Taycan sets Nurburgring record for four-door EVs

The sedan lapped the Green Hell in 7:42 minutes.

Porsche is celebrating a record-setting Nurburgring run for the upcoming Taycan.

A pre-production prototype conquered the famous track in seven minutes and 42 seconds, raising the bar for the niche of four-door all-electric cars.

"Again and again, I am impressed at how stable the all-electric sports car handles in high-speed sections, such as Kesselchen, and how neutrally it accelerates from tight sections, such as Adenauer Forst," said driver Lars Kern.
