Porsche Taycan pre-orders top 30,000
Demand for the all-electric performance car appears to be outpacing VW ID.3 deposits.
Porsche is reportedly continuing to receive seemingly strong demand for the Taycan, due to be revealed in final production form in early September.
The all-electric performance sedan has already received more than 30,000 pre-orders, according to a Handelsblatt report citing an official statement from Porsche HR boss Andreas Haffner.
Notably, the Taycan has apparently outpaced demand for sister brand Volkswagen's ID.3, which reached 20,000 deposits in June. The automaker expects the hatchback to hit the 30,000 mark by September.
To secure a Taycan, potential buyers must put down 2,500 euros (~$2,780 USD).
