Ram 1500 North Edition focuses on cold weather survivalby Justin King
The truck features a factory lift, electronic locking diff, off-road tires and other upgrades to help keep drivers safe and warm.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has revealed the Ram 1500 North Edition, a winter-focused special edition.
The truck offers a whole new level of cold-weather gear starting with a one-inch factory lift and severe snow service-rated on/off-road Falken LT tires.
An electronic locking rear differential helps distribute power from FCA's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Both engines come with remote start and a block heater to keep the oil warm in the chilliest climates.
Drivers are treated to heated 12-way adjustable seats, a heated steering wheel, front and rear Park Sense warning system, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with SiriusXM Travel Link Weather.
The North Edition is available in crew cab, short bed or long bed body styles, with prices starting at $47,585 (including $1,695 freight).
