Subaru BRZ gets slight price bump for 2017 model year
The updated model is scheduled to go on sale in September.
Subaru has announced pricing details for its revised 2017 BRZ lineup.
The updated coupe starts at $26,315 (including $820 freight) for the base Premium trim with a six-speed manual transmission, representing a modest increase of just $100 over the 2016 model year.
Buyers can add a new Performance Package with Brembo brakes, Sachs shocks and unique 17-inch wheels, all for an extra $1,195. The kit is available for the 2.0 Limited trim, which starts at $28,465.
The company also offers a new Series.Yellow limited edition, with production capped at just 500 units. Based on the 2.0 Limited build with the Performance Package, the yellow-clad BRZ carries a $30,515 price tag.
The 2017 BRZ features improved handling, more aggressive body styling and enhanced convenience features. A new aluminum intake manifold and redesigned exhaust manifold help bump engine output to 205 horsepower and 156 lb-ft of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a lower final drive ratio of 4.3:1.
The first 2017 models will begin arriving in US showrooms by September.
