Subaru BRZ sets record for tightest 360 spin [Video]
The Guinness World Record was set in the UK with stunt driver Alastair Moffat behind the wheel.
A Subaru BRZ has been used to set a new Guinness World Record for "tightest 360-degree spin."
The benchmark was lowered by stunt driver Alastair Moffat, known for setting several related records including "tightest reverse parallel park" in a Mini Cooper and "tightest parallel park" in a Fiat 500.
A recorded rehearsal shows Moffat bump a perimeter vehicle on one attempt, though he eventually succeeds in spinning the 4.24-meter coupe in a space that provides less than 2.5 meters of additional space for the maneuver.
"The Subaru BRZ was the perfect car in which to do it; light, highly maneuverable and easy to control," he said. "It's great to have another record to my name."
The record-setting BRZ is claimed to have received no overt modifications. The team simply pulled the ABS fuse and disengaged traction control to allow the vehicle to slide effectively in the tight space.
