Subaru introduces 2017 BRZ Series.Yellow

Just 500 examples of the BRZ Series.Yellow will be built.

Subaru has introduced a limited-edition version of the BRZ called Series.Yellow for the 2017 model year.

As you'd expect, the Series.Yellow receives an eye-catching yellow paint job. Black 17-inch alloys, black mirror caps, and black emblems add a touch of contrast to the look. Based on the BRZ Limited trim, it comes standard with the Performance Package which includes Brembo brakes and Sachs shock absorbers.

The cabin has been upgraded with black leather and Alcantara upholstery, as well as yellow contrast stitching on the seats, the dashboard, and the door panels. All Series.Yellow cars come with carpeted floor mats highlighted by yellow stitching and a silver BRZ emblem. The list of standard features includes dual-zone A/C, keyless entry with a push-button ignition, front courtesy lights, and dual illuminated vanity mirrors.

Subaru hasn't made any mechanical modifications to the Series.Yellow. Like the standard BRZ, the limited-edition coupe gets a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter flat-four engine rated at 205 horsepower -- up five horses for the latest model year -- and 156 pound-feet of torque. It's only offered with a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

The 2017 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow will arrive on dealer lots in 2017. Production will be limited to just 500 examples, but pricing information hasn't been announced yet.
