Elon Musk: Tesla pickup looks like 'armored personnel carrier'
The executive says the 'cybertruck' doesn't look like any of the speculative renderings.
Tesla chief Elon Musk has dropped a few more hints about the company's upcoming all-electric pickup.
The executive suggests the numerous speculative renderings do not accurately predict what the Blade Runner-inspired truck will look like.
"Cybertruck doesn't look like anything I've seen bouncing around the Internet," he wrote on Twitter. "It's closer to an armored personnel carrier from the future."
Previous comments have pointed to a dynamic air suspension system, a rotating tailgate that drops to nearly ground level, and 240-volt outlets for welders and other industrial equipment. Its electric powertrain also promises "crazy torque" and impressive towing capabilities.
The company is apparently on track to formally unveil the pickup next month, though it will not enter production until after the Model Y begins rolling off the assembly line in high volume.
