Toyota finally rolls out Android Auto on select 2020 models

Toyota has finally announced plans to begin rolling out Android Auto compatibility for several models.

Google's smartphone projection feature will be available for the 2020 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia.

Toyota has been reluctant to add Android Auto support after bringing Apple CarPlay to most of its lineup for the 2019 model year, long after most rivals began adding the popular features to their respective lineups.

Perhaps explaining the apparent lack of enthusiasm for Google and Apple integration, the Japanese automaker has been one of the first to embrace the Automotive Grade Linux project that centers around an open-source infotainment platform.
