Toyota shows Corolla GR Sport, Trek for Europe

The Trek features 20mm higher ground clearance for a crossover-like look.

Toyota has revealed two new Corolla variants that will be sold in Europe, adding the GR Sport and Trek appearance packages.

Available for both the hatchback and Touring Sports models with a 1.8- or 2.0-liter engine, the GR Sport features unique Gazoo Racing styling elements including a new front grille, lower side skirts, side rockers, and rear diffusers. Special 18-inch wheels and a two-tone Dynamic Grey exterior add to the look.

Inside, the GR boasts special sport seats in black fabric and red stitching on the instrument panel, steering wheel, and shifter.

Designed through a collaboration between Trek Bicycle and Toyota, the Corolla Trek is exclusively sold for Touring Sports models. Inspired by crossovers, the package raises the Corolla's ride height by 20 mm and adds a few unique exterior elements and 17-inch machined alloy wheels.

The Trek will be on sale from August, ahead of the GR Sport's arrival in January 2020. The company has not yet mentioned any plans for a US launch.
