Volkswagen fully reveals ID.3
The first member of the ID family features a modern interior packed with technology.
Volkswagen's ID.3 has finally received a full debut following an extensive teaser campaign.
The all-electric hatchback had already been presented in its camouflaged pre-production form, leaving little to the imagination. The final design blends the Golf's overall form and futuristic styling elements, with a clean front end that omits an upper grille but still includes a large lower air intake.
Inside, the ID.3 features the German automaker's latest technology including a large floating infotainment screen and head-up display for the top '1st Max' launch configuration.
Three different battery capacities provide electric ranges from 205 miles to 342 miles according to the WLTP test cycle, which could mean around 180 miles to 300 miles if calculated for the US EPA. The company has not indicated any plans to bring the electric hatchback to the US, however.
Americans will have to wait until the ID Crozz electric crossover enters production.
