Volkswagen's new R logo to debut with Atlas Cross Sport R-Line
The crossover will be revealed later this week.
Volkswagen has revealed a new R logo that will make its first appearance on the Atlas Cross Sport R-Line.
The company says the revamped badge symbolizes a "fresh start" for the performance sub-brand. It is designed to be more "modern, distinct and sleek," with a layout that is particularly suitable for digital media.
"The new logo for the R models and the R-Lines also goes hand in hand with the realignment of the Volkswagen R brand," says Volkswagen R managing director Jost Capito. "Our entire team is intensely working on the brand and product image and we are looking forward to continuing to roll these out in the coming months."
The company presented the Atlas Cross Sport R-Line in concept form at the New York International Auto Show this spring. The production edition is scheduled for a world premier on October 11.
