Volvo XC60, V60 to get plug-in hybrid powertrain with 415 hp

The hybrid system is tied to the Polestar Engineered trim.

Volvo has announced plans to launch plug-in hybrid powertrains for the XC60 and V60 in the US market.

Debuting on the S60 T8 Polestar Engineered trim, the hybrid system boasts 415 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque.

The Polestar Engineered package also features more aggressive throttle control software, Ohlins suspension upgrades, unique six-piston brake calipers, and special forged alloy wheels.

The T8 Polestar Engineered option will be available for the 2020 XC60 and V60.
