3CC: "That's really a Volvo?"

The Volvo 3CC might not make headlines anymore -- it was first shown over a year ago -- but that didn't stop TopGear from exploring every angle, detail, and feature of the concept car. Volvo may have shed its boxy image, but it hasn't established itself as a design innovator, yet. The 3CC isn't Volvo's first fun and futuristic concept car, but it's by far the company's most aggressive. "A sporty, aggressive eco-car seems to beg the question, can Volvo be both Sweden's good guy and its bad boy? Look at the design language and you see Volvo thinks the answer's yes." Reviewer Dan Ross hopes Volvo will bring at least some aspects of the 3CC to market. "Now imagine the dashboard controls alive, the windows open instead of welded shut, and the interior lit up by a hundred diodes. Play music, something electronic, of course. And then picture yourself in a place where there are people who know you to point and stare."
