Mini 21st-century "Traveller" concept

Mini at the Tokyo Motor Show unveiled a new concept car it says interprets the basic philosophy of the "travelling? Englishman in a "new and very emotional style." The car is a throwback to the debut of the Mini Traveller in September 1960. The unique overall appearance of the car, its front and side view, as well as numerous design details which have long become genuine icons are typical of Mini. Modern touches include a coupe-like look of the car without a B-pillar. Like the original Mini Traveller, the MINI Concept Car for the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show is designed to give up to four passengers full accommodations. This includes the car's numerous storage areas, ranging from the Cargo Box in the luggage compartment to the freely hovering driver and front passenger seats.
