New sketch of sport/luxury Hyundai HCD-9 concept

A new sketch of Hyundai's HCD-9 "Talus" concept car provides a much better glimpse of what the Korean automaker has planned for its future. The car has been referred to as a "sports car concept," yet in this image it appears more like a sporty crossover of some description. (See our original report on the HCD-9 concept). Recently, we reported that Hyundai is setting its sights on the luxury segment, in an effort to shed its image as a maker of econo-boxes. Later, we reported that Hyundai and Kia have enlisted the help of two American designers to help them create a new, unique design language. The HCD-9 will be shown in the flesh in January at the Detroit auto show. Click the image for an enlarged view.
