U.S.-bound BMW 1-Series Convertible spied

Spy photographers working for Hans G. Lehmann captured some shots of a prototype of the BMW 1-Series convertible. (Front View | Rear View | Side View). The 1-Series convertible, which won't hit the market for a year or more, is expected to be offered in the United States alongside a 1-Series coupe. The four- and two-door 1-Series hatchbacks are not expected to come stateside. In early December, Leftlane cited a published report suggesting the 120 Si coupe and convertible would be a "baby M3" -- a "spiritual successor" to the E30 M3 (1986-1991).
