Lincoln considering rear-wheel drive for MKS?
Lincoln has posted an online survey asking customers for their input on the forthcoming Lincoln MKS sedan. The questions center around what you'd like to see in a luxury sedan. Some of the questions include:
- Engine: Turbo V6 ($5,000) or naturally aspirated V8 (also $5,000)
- Halogen or HID lights? Adaptive or not? ($600 max)
- Basic or high-definition navigation, sound? ($1,500-$3,800)
- Adaptive cruise control? ($1,000)
- Rearview Camera? ($350)
- Auto-dimming high beams ($200)
- Tri-coat paint ($800)
Most importantly, however, the survey asks if respondents would be interested in front-, all-, or rear-wheel drive. According to the survey, RWD or FWD would cost the same, and AWD would be an $1800 to $2000 premium. Does this mean Ford is actually considering RWD for the MKS? We sure hope so...
