GM bans markups on Saturn Sky Redline

General Motors has "banned" its Saturn dealers from placing markups on the 2007 Saturn Sky Redline, according to Saturn General Manager Jill Lajdziak. In an interview published today, Lajdziak said charging a premium doesn't fit with Saturn's friendly image. Lately, markups on the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice have been getting a little out of hand, with Pontiac dealers charging as much as $5,000 over MSRP, and Saturn dealers charging as much as $3,000 over the $23,690 base price. Interestingly, the Sky Redline is rumored to cost just $3,000 over the base model. So will dealers end up selling the Redline for as much as some were selling the base model for? This will be interesting...
