Official: 2007/2008 Mercedes CL 500, CL 600

After numerous leaks, Mercedes today officially announced the 2007/2008 CL-Class coupe. Initially, the car will be offered as CL500 and CL600 variants. It will be available this fall, the automaker said. The CL 500 features a 388 horsepower engine with 26 percent more output than the previous model -- good for a 0-62 mph time of 5.4 seconds (compared to 6.3 for the previous model). The CL 600 also gets a modest performance boost -- up to 517 hp for a 0-62 time of 4.6 seconds. [Continue the discussion and see the gallery and info here].
