Opel Vectra wagon coming to U.S. as a Saturn

General Motors will import the next-generation Opel Vectra wagon to the United States as a Saturn in 2008 or 2009, according to senior GM sources cited by Automotive News. GM has not officially confirmed the plan, but GM Europe President Carl-Peter Forster said bringing the Vectra wagon stateside wouldn't be expensive, because the vehicle will be based on a global component architecture. That architecture will be the next-generation Epsilon platform. The existing Epsilon platform underpins the Vectra and 2007 Saturn Aura sedan.
