On the Scene: 2009 Fleetwood Country Cruize In

Here at Leftlane, we spend a lot of time focusing on new cars. But that doesn't mean we can't appreciate a good classic car show -- especially when its aim is to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. Which leads us to the Fleetwood Country Cruize In, an annual event held a couple hours north of the U.S.-Canadian border.

The vintage car show takes place at the estate of car collector and philanthropist Steve Plunkett. What began as a 400-car show five years ago has ballooned into a 3000-vehicle extravaganza complete with a massive charity dinner, celebrity appearances, an aerobatics show, and over 15,000 attendees.

Held on the outskirts of London, Ontario, the show attracts a great deal of local interest, but also draws in Americans and Canadians from hundreds of miles away.
