Audi prices U.S.-bound TT RS

Audi has officially announced U.S. pricing for its 360 horsepower TT RS model.

We first learned that Audi was sending over its hottest TT RS late last year, and now the German automaker has finally announced U.S. pricing for the turbocharged two-door.

When the TT RS hits U.S. Audi dealers later this year, it will arrive with a sticker price of $56,850. Although that may seem a little pricey considering the base car lists from just $38,300, the TT RS promises enough performance to support that premium.

The U.S.-spec TT RS will arrive with a 360 horsepower version of Audi's turbocharged 2.5L five-cylinder, trumping the car's European counterpart by 25 horses. Torque will be rated at an equally stout 343 lb-ft.

The TT RS will be available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, sending power to all-four wheels via Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system. The sprint from 0-60 should take a mere 4.1 seconds.

In addition to its added performance, the TT RS will also offer buyers some unique design elements. The car will come standard with a black front grille, bigger air intakes, Audi's signature RS oval exhaust pipes and unique 19-inch wheels.

The TT RS is scheduled to arrive on dealer lots during the third quarter and will be available in both coupe and convertible configurations.
