Tokyo: Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept

Drivers are treated to sport-tuned suspension, stickier tires and a retuned computer with a more aggressive throttle response.

Nissan has previewed the Leaf Nismo Concept ahead of a full unveiling in Tokyo.

Consistent with other Nismo offerings, the Leaf has received a more aggressive body kit with the sub-brand's characteristic red accent lines on the lower bumpers and side sills.

Nissan promises some of the styling tweaks are functional, reducing lift without compromising the Leaf's drag coefficient.

Drivers are treated to sport-tuned suspension, stickier tires and a retuned computer with a more aggressive throttle response for instant torque.

"The Leaf Nismo Concept combines the environmentally friendly character of an electric car with the exciting driving experience that's always been a hallmark of the Nismo brand," the company says.

Full details will be announced at the Tokyo Motor Show.
