Bollinger shows B2 all-electric pickup

The startup says a prototype will be built next year.

Prospective EV builder Bollinger Motors has revealed the B2, an all-electric pickup.

Like the B1 SUV, the B2 features dual motors and a 120-kWh battery pack that is said to last for 200 miles per charge. The truck boasts all-wheel drive, hydro-pneumatic suspension, in-wheel portal gear hubs and pass-through doors.

With the tailgate down, the B2 can carry full 4' x 8' sheets of plywood. The rear glass opens up, enabling drivers to carry 72 sheets of 1/2" plywood with the tailgate up, while pass-through panels can be opened to haul 16-foot lumber.

Both the B1 and B2 are designed as Class 3 work trucks with 10,001-pound gross vehicle weight ratings and a hauling capacity of 5,000 pounds.

"The renderings of our new B2 are based on the CAD data we'll use to prototype in early 2019," the company says. "The fully working 4-door B1 and B2 test vehicles will then be put through their paces."
