Acura launches online configurator for 2017 NSX

You can now virtually build the Acura NSX.

Would-be buyers can now virtually build their very own NSX via Acura's online configurator, which went live today. Thursday also marks the first day that you can walk into an authorized NSX dealer and order Acura's first-ever hybrid supercar.

Potential buyers using the online configurator can choose from several color schemes, include eight paint choices and four interior color options. Highlights from the list include Velencia Red Pearl and Nouvelle Blue Pearl, both of which carry a $6,000 price tag.

The NSX is available with three factory option packages — the Carbon Fiber Exterior Sport Package, the Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package and the Technology Package.

The Carbon Fiber Exterior Sport Package carries a retail price of $9,000 and includes a front spoiler, side sills and a rear diffuser all made out of carbon fiber. The package also includes a dark chrome exhaust finisher.

The Carbon Fiber interior package includes a carbon fiber meter visor, carbon fiber steering wheel accents and aluminum sport pedals all for the tidy sum of $2,900.

The Tech Package, which carries a price of $2,800, features premium audio, satellite navigation and front and rear parking sensors. SiriusXM satellite radio can be added to the Technology Package for an additional $500.

For those that prefer to order their equipment a la carte, there are a total of eight standalone factory options for the NSX. Exterior options include a carbon fiber roof ($6,000), carbon fiber engine cover ($3,600), carbon-ceramic brake rotors ($9,900 or $10,600 with red brake calipers), exclusive interwoven wheels ($1,500) and a carbon fiber deckled spoiler ($3,000). The interior of the NSX can be outfitted with semi-aniline full leather power sport seats ($2,500), semi-aniline leather and Alcantara power sport seats ($1,500) and a black Alcantara headliner.

The 2017 Acura NSX carries a base price of $157,800 (including an ($1,800 destination charge), but loading on the options can push the car's price $206,500.
