Audi announces updated A6 2.0 TFSI for 2019

The 2019 A6 comes with less power and more equipment.

Audi has announced a slightly revised version of its A6 2.0 TFSI mid-size sedan for the 2019 model year. The updated model arrives with slightly less horsepower than its predecessor, but gains more standard equipment.

The A6's new 2.0L four-cylinder delivers 248 horsepower, which is down slightly from the 252 horsepower offered in last year's model. Torque is unchanged at 273 lb-ft.

The 2019 Audi A6 2.0 delivers its power to the ground more efficiently, however, thanks to the addition of standard quattro all-wheel drive; previously, the four-cylinder A6 came standard with front-wheel drive. The 2019 A6 also benefits from a standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Other upgrades for the 2019 model year include standard progressive steering, LED headlights, high beam assist and lane departure warning. Optional equipment includes a Convenience package, Black optic package, 20-inch wheels and, for Premium Plus models, an Executive package.

The 2019 Audi A6 2.0 TFSI Premium will carry a base price of $54,100. The more lavishly equipped Premium Plus trim will list from $57,800. Both prices exclude a mandatory $995 destination charge.
