Bentley prices more powerful Continental GT Speed, Black Edition
The GT Speed Convertible: Black Edition is the most expensive variant, fetching $277,235.
Bentley has announced pricing and launch details for its revised Continental GT Speed lineup, shown publicly for the first time this week at an exclusive event in New York City.
Detailed last month, the 2017 lineup includes four revised models including the basic GT Speed, the convertible variant and new Black Edition appearance packages for either body style.
The upgraded models start at $240,300 (excluding freight) for the more powerful GT Speed, representing an increase of nearly $6,000 from the 2016 edition. The Black Edition starts at $253,235 in coupe form, or $277,235 as a convertible. The basic GT Speed Convertible now fetches $264,300.
All four cars are powered by a tweaked 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine, now delivering 642 PS (633 horsepower) and 620 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can expect to reach 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, eventually topping out at 206 mph.
As the name implies, the Black Edition package boasts gloss-black exterior brightware and all-black 21-inch five-spoke wheels. Buyers can choose from a variety of contrast colors for the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser, while the interior features extra carbon fiber and split-color upholstery.
US dealers are currently accepting pre-orders, with initial deliveries expected to begin this summer.
