BMW teases iNEXT's massive curved display

The single-piece display unit is said to be "ergonomically optimized."

BMW has released a pair of teaser images showing a large curved display that will be used in the iNEXT.

The single-piece display panel is said to be curved for improved presentation from the driver's perspective, merging information and control functions while optimizing visualization and touch input.

"The Curved Display is set in high-quality materials and is virtually freely suspended on the instrument panel," says BMW Design head Domagoj Dukec. "This makes it a key element in terms of the modern, luxurious and generous sense of space in the BMW iNEXT."

Serving as BMW's technology flagship for autonomous features and other capabilities, the all-electric iNEXT crossover is scheduled to enter production in 2021.
