Dodge brings back Sublime for Charger, Challenger
The company wants to brighten up the Chicago show.
Dodge will brighten up the 2019 Chicago auto show by bringing back an eye-catching, heritage-laced shade of green called Sublime. Charger and Challenger owners will be able to order Sublime starting in February 2019.
Sublime will be available on the Charger Scat Pack, the Charter SRT Hellcat, the Challenger Widebody, and the Challenger T/A. If it looks familiar, it's most likely because this isn't the first time it's appeared on a Dodge. It was introduced in 1970 on a number of the company's models, and it returned on a limited run of Charger R/T Daytonas in 2007. Dodge brought the color back a second time during the 2015 model year when it made it available on the Challenger.
"By bringing back a high-impact color like Sublime across the 2019 Challenger and Charger lineups, we're continuing to give our enthusiast customers another way to make their muscle cars even more unique when they showcase the legendary Dodge performance attitude," affirmed Steve Beahm, the head of passenger car brands for Dodge, Chrysler, and Fiat.
Muscle car fans will get the opportunity to check out Dodge's Sublime-colored cars at the Chicago auto show. Customers who don't like the green but still want to stand out from the crowd will be able to select from a palette of other special colors including B5 Blue, Go Mango, F8 Green, Plum Crazy, and TorRed.
