Dodge prices 2019 Challenger lineupby Drew Johnson
The Hellcat gets cheaper and the Redeye takes center stage.
Dodge has announced pricing for its updated 2019 Challenger range. The highlights of the 2019 Challenger range is a new SRT Hellcat Redeye model, along with a few other model line tweaks.
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon may be officially out of production, but the 2019 Hellcat Redeye should be more than enough to satisfy most buyers. It boasts a version of the Demon's 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8, with 797 and 707 lb-ft of torque on tap, and can hit a top speed of 203mph. Pricing for the Hellcat Redeye will start from $69,650.
The normal Challenger Hellcat returns for 2019 but with a couple of key revisions. Its 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 has been reworked to produce 717 horsepower (+10) and 656 lb-ft of torque (+6). But while performance numbers have gone up, the Hellcat's base price has gone down. The Hellcat now carries a base price of $58,650, which is $5,000 cheaper than the 2018 model.
The Challenger GT — which was previously offered exclusively with all-wheel drive — gains a new rear-wheel drive variant for 2019; it'll retail for $29,995. Meanwhile, the Challenger SXT can now be fitted with all-wheel drive for $30,295. All pricing excludes destination and gas guzzler charges.
The 2019 Challenger range is scheduled to land in Dodge showrooms during the forth quarter of 2018.
