Infiniti reveals Prototype 10 electric speedster
The futuristic concept hints at design cues for upcoming Infiniti models.
Infiniti has come to Pebble Beach to reveal the Prototype 10, a retro-style speedster with an all-electric powertrain.
The concept blends futuristic design themes with the iconic shape of a classic single-seat speedster. It follows the throwback Prototype 9 roadster and the more modern Q Inspiration concept.
"Where Prototype 9 - a sleek, open-wheeled, electric retro-roadster - imagined an alternative history for Infiniti, the Prototype 10 is resolutely focused on what the future holds for the brand," the company says.
The Prototype 10 hints at design cues that will appear in future production models. Among the recent concepts, however, the Q Inspiration appears to represent the best indication of where the brand is heading in the near future.
From 2021, Infiniti's all-new models will mix pure electric powertrains and e-Power hybrids.
