Kia expands Soul EV availability to Northeast
Kia will sell its Soul EV in four new states.
Kia has announced that it is extending the availability of its Soul EV to four new states. With the addition of those new markets the electric Soul is now available in 10 states across America.
Buyers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland will now be able to purchase the Soul EV. The electric compact will be sold through nineteen approved Kia dealers in those four states, including eight in New York and six in New Jersey. Those facilities will be equipped with charging stations available to customers.
The Kia Soul EV is currently available in California, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
"Kia's sales strategy for the Soul EV has been progressive and pragmatic since its launch late last year,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. "California consumers created a high level of demand, and the state's large infrastructure made it a natural place to start. Between consumer reaction to the Soul EV and growing infrastructure programs in states such as these in the Northeast, this is a logical - and exciting - next step in our rollout plan.”
Shoppers in the Northeast will be able to purchase the Soul EV within the next few weeks. Prices for the Soul EV Base will start from $33,950 while the up-level Soul EV Plus will list from $35,950. Those prices don't include a federal tax credit of $7,500.
